Packages

Coming into college, editing was not my strong suit. It is definitely my weakest link, but I continue to work on packages throughout my classes and extracurricular activities. I plan to continue my work with editing as it is something I wish to expand my knowledge upon. The packages below were edited using Avid Media Composer or Adobe Premiere Pro.

“The Interview”

I had the privilege of doing a story on Hofstra’s very own two-time a cappella award-winning ICCA champions, The HofBeats. I conducted a sit-down interview with the president of the HofBeats to get a closer look into their rehearsal process and familial bond that has them winning year after year.

WYLN News Update

Last summer, I was a Television Production and Broadcasting Intern for WYLN 35 TV News located in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Here is one of the many updates I edited for their social media pages.

“Meet the Connectees”

In my “Episodic Non-Fiction” class created a show, titled Campus Connections in which our fellow peers competed in somewhat of a dating show, but for friends! We created three of these episodes over the course of the semester, each of us being selected as a new crew position each episode. I was selected as the editor for the final episode and my challenge was to work with what I was given. With no b-roll, it made it a little difficult, but I was able to put a cute little piece together- enjoy!

Pride Top 5

As producer of Sports Beat, a sports based newscast that follows both professional and Hofstra sports, I edit a number of videos for our broadcast. One of our segments, The Pride Top 5, focuses on the top five Hofstra plays of that month. You can see full Sports Beat episodes under live productions.

Book Fairies

For the past few months, I have been working with Book Fairies of Long Island to spread their message and love of books. I filmed and edited a series of volunteer videos where they share their love for Book Fairies and what has them coming back year after year.
